tokki watch: 34w

34 weeks
~12.8 in.

People have been asking me if I'm ready to be done being pregnant these days. I guess I am looking pretty due? ;)
I wonder if they expect me to very enthusiastic about being over it, but actually I'm not in a hurry just yet. Pregnancy has been so good to me and I love it!
I'm cherishing every moment that I have left, even being double-chinned teehee.

♥ - ♥ - ♥ - ♥ - ♥ - ♥ - ♥

My plans for the weekend include seeing the chiropractor, lazing around with my husband, going out to dinner with a nice couple who work with Tare, and having another Dominion game night with some friends! It feels like we're trying to fit in as many game nights and outings as possible these days! It's busy and fun.

How are you spending your weekend? Whatever you're up to, I hope it is just lovely.

Music for a Weary Wednesday

It is yet another foggy day. The weather lends to a melancholy mood which makes me want to listen to some "rainy day" music.
Take a listen to the music even if you can't understand the lyrics. Here are a few of my favorites for days like these...

One Way - Rainy Days (English/Acoustic Version)

IU - Alone in my room

IU - Someday (Dream High OST)

Everyday Matters #7-13

EDM #7-13

7. Draw a bottle, jar or tin from the kitchen
8. Draw your watch or other piece of jewelry
9. Draw a bit of “organized chaos” - your messy desk, your table stacked with books, etc.
10. Draw your hand or hands (or someone elses if you like)
11. Draw your glasses or sunglasses
12. Draw what you ate for dinner
13. Draw your telephone (land line, cell, old-fashioned?)

I love juice. My current favorite is Snapple All Natural Fruit Punch but it is hard to find at the grocery store.
My favorite stud earrings from Express. Subtle but adds a bit of sparkle, just my style.
My living room table is filled with games and books and papers. I love that extra space to keep the top nice and clear.
My hand: somewhat big palms with long fingers. A bit puffy these days so I can't wear my rings.
I prefer contacts to glasses. I wore glasses from 2nd-8th grade.
Last night I had chadolbaegi (thinly sliced beef) with red-leaf lettuce, perilla leaves, pickled garlic, and ssamjang. oh yes party in my mouth.
My telephone. Tare wants to switch to iPhone when they come out with new version in June. I worry what will happen to my iPod Touch.

I have to add that I drew all of this last night. I was a procrastinator last week and kept pushing it off. I didn't force myself to draw all of this though, it was fine to do it all at once when I felt like doing it. So if you feel like skipping a day or two or drawing several in a day, go for it!

If you'd like to draw a little something everyday, click here and draw on!

thank you gifts

The first week of January, our community group threw us another baby shower. There were desserts, a few games, and gifts!

{Multi-tasking Mommy game: mommy carries a "baby," is talking on the cell phone, and hanging clothes on the line all at the same time. Team who finishes first wins!}

{Biggest Belly game: one teammate wears a large shirt to stuff while others blow up balloons; aim of the game is to fit the most balloons inside the shirt}
This was such a funny game!

{Gift opening time}

We had a lot of fun and received such great gifts that have us prepared for baby to arrive! We're blessed to be part of such a great community group.
Thank you cards were sent out but I still wanted to do a little something extra for the two girls who planned and prepared it. I eventually decided to crochet coaster sets for both of them.

thank you gifts
thank you gifts

I'm glad I found something to express my gratitude but honestly, sometimes I feel unsure about giving handmade gifts to people. I wasn't sure what color they'd like or if they'd really use them or whether it's too small of a gift or whether they'd appreciate that it was handmade. But maybe I'm just overthinking it (I tend to do that a lot) and the thank you message is clear. I hope they liked it!

Do you have a go-to thank you gift for such occasions?

It's in the bag.

A Hasty Life

Today I'm participating in a blog crawl hosted by A Hasty Life. It's so interesting taking a peek into someone else's bag and I hope you enjoy taking a peek at mine! Take some time to visit teaching in heels who shared yesterday and remember to visit kalanicut tomorrow for her post!

1. Black Cloud Twist Bag: This is my most used bag. It goes with every outfit!
2. Poketo Wallet: From Target, it was too colorful and cute to resist. I love the number of card slots and pockets to put all my stuff in.
3. Coach Chelsea Cosmetic Case: Pretty & the perfect size for all the little stuff ♥ (see below!)
4. Eclipse mints: I always get these in Winterfrost. I don't chew gum and I don't like other mints because of the aftertaste, but this one is fresh and sweet.
5. iPod Touch 4G: My companion wherever I go! It has replaced my need for a notebook-type planner and these days I mostly use it for keeping up with my daily Bible reading plan and taking fun photos.
6. LG EnV3: I'm a texter so I appreciate the qwerty keys.

1. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Swivel Stick: I love carrying this around instead of lotion because it won't explode or leak and you can use it anywhere (lips, face, body)!
2. Neutrogena Moistureshine Soothing LipSheers in Sparkling Nude & Shimmering Blush: My absolute favorite lip product of all time. I've already gone through one and now have two in rotation and one for backup in Cool Nectar. This gives my lips a hint of color with the feeling of a balm so it's not too pigmented or sticky. I'm not into gloss or lipstick and other tinted lip balms have felt too dry for me but this one is perfect!
3. Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Stash
4. Eye drops
5. Shiricki Pirate Panda & Crossbones mirror: I prefer my mirror-viewing to be more discreet so I love that I can peek at it without taking it out and opening it up. And I can't resist a panda product!
6. Aveeno lotion: I think this is from when I was visiting Colorado and my hands were so dry and I had to get something for it. Not a permanent resident in my bag.
7. Oil-blotting paper
8. Mini pen: You always need a pen.

Tell me what's in your bag!

Dress me up!

I love wearing dresses. It makes me feel girly and pretty and it's so much easier to get dressed for the day because it's a whole outfit in one!
I love the dresses from Shop Ruche -- there are so many pretty dresses that are much more affordable than say... Anthropologie. :) Here are some of my favorites from their collection right now:

1. Dreaming in color lace ruffle dress in Mustard $34.99: Lace, ruffles, bow belt, mustard?! It's like the ultimate dress with all of my favorites included!
2. Please be mine floral belted dress $39.99 (out of stock): I want to wear this in the spring with boots!
3. Lilac whisper belted dress $47.99: Love the flirty floral look!
4. Embroidered gardens navy tunic dress $42.99: My favorite right now because I love navy and the beautiful embroidery.
5. Soaring over clouds denim dress $42.99 (out of stock): Looks so comfortable and perfect for lovely summer days.
6. Forever intertwined heather gray skirt $47.99 (out of stock): The knots are so cute and I love the shape of the skirt.

While we're on the subject, this is the Ribbons and Bows Silk dress from Ruche that I own but if anyone is interested, I would love to sell it! I have it in size Small and it is in brand new condition, only tried on once when I first received it. I love the dress (who doesn't love bows?) but it was an impulse buy and I don't see myself wearing it often.
It is currently selling for $68.99 on the site but I'd like to sell for just $48 shipped (I'm willing to talk about the price if you're interested though). Please leave a comment or email me if you're interested! Thanks!

Everyday Matters #2-6

I deem Monday as Everyday Matters Day! I'll be sharing my sketches from the week and I hope you'll share some of yours with me too.

EDM #2
#2. Draw a desk lamp or other lamp.

EDM #3-6
#3. Purses, Wallets, or Bags
#4. Draw your mug or cup
#5. Draw your bed
#6. Draw your favorite well-loved object... or a childhood toy

The lamp I drew resides in our living room as a reading lamp and it's a pretty Liberty of London for Target shade in black and white.
I drew an interesting textured clutch that I do not own because I thought it would be fun to draw.
My aladdin water bottle helps keep me hydrated. I try to drink two 24-oz bottles a day at least.
My bed is overtaken by my pregnancy pillow: it is one with my body at night.
One of my favorite well-loved objects is my camera Blue. I really couldn't think of anything else I'm more attached to.

New blog design

I've updated my blog design, so please click over if you're reading from a feed and check it out!
Please let me know if you see anything weird or funky or broken links/images.

Many thanks to my sister who helped out with the coding and design even though she was busy with school. :) Thanks Boradori.

Shopping with a Purpose

Yesterday I went shopping at the mall. Specifically, I went to Old Navy because I heard there was a sale of up to 80% going on (which wasn't true by the way) and Forever 21. I picked up leggings that look like jeans and a comfortable but blah jersey dress from ON and I found one tunic from F21 that would work with leggings in my B shape. Shopping fail.

I guess F21 just doesn't do it for me anymore because our store is huge, and by huge I mean it replaced a department store and I could actually get lost in there, and yet I couldn't find anything that I really wanted. I was looking for something specific: anything long enough to wear with leggings because I don't feel like squeezing into my maternity jeans anymore and everything that was long enough before is no longer working out. I don't understand how they don't have more tunics or dresses in stock right now! I'm in spring mode because it doesn't seem like winter where I live (back into the 60's, yeah!). It was disappointing. I wasn't looking in maternity because it doesn't seem worth it for two more months and maternity dresses all look the same = boring.

So I came home and went on Hautelook and found these pretties:

Puella Henley Dress & Hook and Eye Dress

I was resisting the buying urge again until Tare stepped in and clicked "Place Order" like he always does for me.
Do you think they'll still look cute on a short person? I hope so... weird thing is, now I keep looking for clothes that will have easier nursing access. And the two above actually look like they will! I don't think I'll be able to wear them by the time they arrive since estimated shipping date is in two weeks, but I'm excited for some pretty new non-maternity clothes.

Do you shop with something specific in mind or shop as you go?
Currently I'm on the search for more dresses/tunics, stud earrings, and nursing clothing & PJs.

tokki watch: 32w

32 weeks
~11.7 in.

I am a tiger with many stripes. ;)
I'm running out of shirts/tunics that are long enough to wear with leggings so I'm going shopping today! Hopefully I'll be able to find a few cute non-maternity dresses that will work for the two months left. I'm also seeing a chiropractor on Monday. I've never been to one before but it was recommended to me since I've been having some right side hip/knee pain these days. Baby's gaining weight!

Everyday Matters #1

EDM #1
Draw a shoe.

I came across this challenge on twitter (specifically Holly Knitlightly's) and I think it will be great for journaling and drawing practice. I'm not much of a drawer but hopefully my skill will improve through this. There are 350 prompts and I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up with one a day but I'm going to try my best.

If you'd like to join me, take a look here and share some sketches with me!

the little things

I decided to "Instagram" the little things around my house today. I lack inspiration to write or take proper photos so I'm taking the easy way!

This is a new pet bowl+mat set I bought from They were doing free shipping & $20 off for new customers so I think I paid like $3 for it. Isn't it adorable? I love the ceramic bowls, they are heavy so it won't scoot around and the sides are lower so it's easier for Aji to reach in without getting water and food all over her beard.

Flowers from our baby shower squeezed into an empty apple juice container. We don't have any vases so we make do. :)
& I should probably get started on those Thank You cards again!

Aji's new bed which she adores. We got it for her as a Christmas present and she now spends more time lying in there instead of other random places around the house. It's her first bed and the perfect size for her, so cute! The weather these days is so gloomy and dreary. I have to say it does influence my mood, I just don't feel like doing anything at all most of the day.

Crossing the days off one by one! I met with my midwife this morning and tokki is doing absolutely wonderful. He's in a great position and growing well! This month we need to interview potential pediatricians. My midwife says her intuition is telling her I'm going to have an easy labor and that she might not even get here in time. I am praying her intuition is right! I have a very positive feeling about it too.

So very random but they fit in the "little things" category so well: a felt rose I made one night and a mini Tare panda in my hand. We had it made at the purikura place in San Francisco, I made Tare put on a sad face because I thought it would be funny. It makes me smile when I see it!

A free prayer calendar I received from Samaritan's Purse (you can request one at their website if you'd like free of charge) - a reminder to pray for the world and the people in different countries that I wouldn't normally think about by myself. We're so involved in our own lives that we forget to pray for the bigger things with a bigger scope that need our prayers. I believe we can make a difference with prayer and we should be generous with our time to do that for others. This week it says to pray "that God would raise up a new generation of medical missionaries to meet the overwhelming needs at missionary hospitals around the world."

tokki watch: 31w

~11.2 in.

I'm really starting to feel the weight I'm carrying around these days. Still nothing to complain about though! I feel great and am still enjoying every single second of carrying this baby in me.

I'm just awaiting your arrival little one but I'm in no hurry. I want you to join us when you're truly ready, which is estimated to be in about sixty days.

I haven't been sure what to share about these days because my days would be considered pretty bland to others. It's been the same routine-filled normal days except most of my time has been devoted to all things Etsy. I'm not sure why I suddenly dove into it like I did but I haven't been able to come up for air for the past week! It's been very interesting learning more about how it works, networking, support, selling, treasuries, views, hearts, sales, teams, ahh! A bit much but I think I have it under control now, I just need to write about it here and ease off.

First of all, I've been awarded the Stylish Blogger Award by three bloggers: Tatterbeans (blog + etsy), Dreamaginarius (blog + etsy opening soon), & Beansprouts Childrens Wear (blog + etsy).

So here is what I now have to do...

1. Thank and link back to the person who awarded you this award - Thank you ladies!
2.Share 7 things about yourself -
♥ Just Dance 2 is my daily work out session. I can still beat my husband! :D
♥ Singing;music used to be a dream of mine.
♥ My love language is Words of Affirmation.
♥ I'm a quiet, introverted person. (Can you still tell through the internet?)
♥ I'm a Bible-believing Christian that loves Jesus.
♥ I don't listen to any American music other than KLOVE (Christian radio station).
♥ My husband was my first boyfriend and first love and I wouldn't have it any other way.

3.Pay it forward to 15 recently discovered great bloggers -
Unfortunately, I have no idea who I recently discovered. Everyone goes into my Google Reader or Google Friend Connect and I have pregnancy brain. Sorry. Next time...

2nd, Sweet November is a sweet blog (+shop) offering free advertising until she reaches 300 followers. She's a little over halfway, so get on over there if you need it!

3rd, I'm participating in a Team Discovery weekly treasury challenge & I would appreciate your views and clicks here!

Etsy is truly addicting but I think it's better for me than that box of assorted dark chocolates I went through in the last few days. ;) I'll be back tomorrow with another tokki watch update!

New Things

I love seeing things all stacked up and pretty, like these new lens cap pockets I've made for my shop.

Lens Cap Pockets

Lens Cap Pockets

Lens Cap Pockets

Lens Cap Pockets

I obviously changed the material and design since making my own & I got mini carabiners to go with them instead of keyrings for easier attachment.
I'm smitten with these.
